Improve Search Engine Placement

The never ending quest for each and every webmaster is to generate more traffic, especially free traffic. The equation is simple more traffic equals more sales. No matter how good or well designed your site is if you are not able to improve search engine placement and get to page one for your search term your site is a dead duck.

To improve search engine placement there are a few very important factors to take into consideration. Most of these are general knowledge and nothing new, it is the failure to implement these factors where most go wrong.

The three main search engines, Google, Yahoo and MSN have different criteria to which a site has to conform to get to the first page. These elements vary from inbound links all the way to the keyword density of the page. Each of the search engines will rate a page differently based on the criteria and that is why in many cases you might have a top ranking page in the one search engine but in the other you are not even in the top one thousand sites.

This does sometimes get very depressing to say the least, why not just one system? Guess then there would only be one search engine and no more fun if everyone knew everything.

There are many theories, some claiming to be proven and others so new it seems like you are reading a science fiction novel. Then there are those that get so complicated by the time you are done you have no idea where you started.

The search engines and their ranking methods are not cut in stone, it is an ever changing environment leaving the poor webmaster more confused from day to day, some for the better and others for worse. Thank goodness for Prozac else we would live in a web mad online world.

The good news is that there is one fixed element that has been around for a long time, just very under utilized which will help you improve search engine ranking rather quickly if used correctly. So if you want better ranking and ultimately more traffic you know where to click.

Using Articles to Target Your Market

Developing a niche market for your online sales business is dependant on many variables that should all work in conjunction to promote your product or service. Providing keyword-rich, search engine optimized (SEO) articles for your niche market offers a diverse and interesting method of product promotion.

A well constructed article should provide both clarity and credibility to your niche market product. By presenting your visitors with a clearly defined, knowledgeable article you not only get the advantage of subtle promotion for your product or service, your expertise will be positively evaluated.

An article that is nothing more than thinly disguised sales copy can often have a detrimental affect on its readers. Articles for your niche market should never be written solely for self-serving promotion. Keep affiliate links to a minimum; as a matter of fact, all links should be provided in the resource box at the end of the article.

Capturing and holding a readers attention should be the primary goal of any article you post to your web pages. An article that provides information on how to accomplish a particular task or one that outlines the advantages of your particular niche product will not only entice your readers to remain on your site, it will also afford them the opportunity to gain knowledge relative to your particular product or service.

Using a professionally written, knowledgeable article to target your niche market can provide a subtle, yet extremely effective tool for driving traffic to your site and, more importantly, keep them there. By providing tangible information to your visitors including references, quotes and relative links, you accomplish two very effective marketing goals your product or service is positively promoted and your reputation is enhanced.

Articles must be one hundred percent original. Surfers and search engines alike are quick to spot plagiarized content. This not only detracts from your professional image, it may also result in your site being banned from the more popular search engines. Either way, your integrity (and consequently that of your product or service) and your sales will be compromised.

Articles should always be grammatically correct and free of spelling errors. Sentence structure and style should be perfect. Information parlayed through article writing must be clearly defined and easy to read. A well constructed, professional article provides your reader with interesting, original content they can relate to.

An article used to promote your niche market endeavor should be designed to enhance your readers intelligence. Therefore, you should never talk down or preach to your readers. Product relativity and marketability should be of the utmost concern, so all articles used to promote your niche market should be designed to address current market trends.

Using articles to target your niche market is a smart, economical method of promoting your specialty product. Well researched and creatively written articles provide excellent, ethical and relevant content to your niche marketing site.

Viral Marketing Strategy

Viral Marketing is allowing people to giveaway and use your free product or service in order to multiply your marketing quickly over the internet. The idea behind viral marketing is that you include your ad with the freebie people giveaway or use. Below are a collection of high impact viral marketing strategies:

Allow people to reprint your articles on their web site, in their e-zine, newsletter, magazine or ebooks. Include your resource box and the option for article reprints at the bottom of each article.

Allow people to use any of your freebies as free bonuses for products or services they sell. Include your ad on all your freebies.

Allow people to use your online discussion board for their own web site. Some people don't have one. Just include your banner ad at the top of the board.

Allow people to sign up for a free web site on your server. Since you are giving away the space, require them to include your banner ad at the top of the site.

Allow people to add their link to your free web site directory. Just require that they return a link back to your web site, advertising your directory.

Allow people to provide your free online service to their web site, visitors, or e-zine subscribers. They could be free e-mail, e-mail consulting, search engine submissions, etc.

Allow people to give away your free software. Just include your business advertisement inside the software program.

Allow people to give away your free web design graphics, fonts, templates, etc. Just include your ad on them or require people to link directly to your web site.

Allow people to place an advertisement in your free ebook if, in exchange, they give away the ebook to their web visitors or e-zine subscribers.

Allow people to give away your free ebook to their visitors. Then, their visitors will also give it away. This will just continue to spread your ad all over the internet.

Create an alliance with other web sites. Include each of your ads or banners on the other web sites. You will all share targeted traffic with each other. For example, you would instantly have a number of web sites selling for you without paying them an affiliate income. You would just be giving them ad space on your web site.

Create a free e-zine directory. You'll attract a lot of traffic from e-zine publishers and people who want to subscribe to the e-zines. Your listings could include name, subscription instructions, publishers name, etc. Of course you could put your own e-zine listing at the top of your directory to get extra exposure.

When you offer a freebie from your site, submit it to freebie sites. They provide target categories which mean targeted traffic.

So if you're submitting software, you could submit it to the "free software" section. Just remember, some freebie sites want you to link to their web site before they will list your freebie submission.

Get your products or services evaluated for free. You can give your product for free in exchange for evaluations and even testimonials. You will find out any problems with your product before you sell it. You might also discover new uses or selling points for your product too.

Clone your advertisements all over the Internet by allowing your visitors to give your online freebies away. Just include your ad somewhere inside them. You could also start an affiliate program and pay people commissions to run your ads. You could also give your affiliates viral marketing tools to use like e-books or articles.

Allow people who do not have time to explore your site to download your web site in e-book format. This will allow them time to view it offline. Just compile it like you would a normal e-book. You could also turn it into a viral marketing tool by allowing people to give it away to others for free.

Hold a contest on your web site. Give other web sites the option of offering it to their visitors. This'll multiply your advertising all over the Internet. It would become a viral contest. Of course the contest must either be ongoing or held regularly so you could allow other online publishers to offer it to their visitors or subscribers.

Allow your visitors to reprint the content on your web site. Just ask them to include your resource box and a link to your site in exchange. This will turn your content into a traffic machine and the external links will help increase your ranking in some search engines.

Keyword Research - How to Create a Highly Effective Keyword List

Part 1

Recently I was asked to optimize a site selling Spanish T-Shirts to attract lots of traffic from the search engines. Without traffic your site won't make any sales. Of the other hand getting lots of traffic does not guarantee sales if your web copy is lousy. There are many factors that should be considered when you optimize your web site. For my example site to optimize I chose Wild Lily Designs, a site that specializes in selling Spanish Shirts.

Here are the steps I took to optimize the site:

1. Create a keyword list

Write down all the keywords related to the topic of your site. Try to also include keyword phrases. ie T-Shirts, Spanish Shirts, Spanish Apparel, Spanish Clothing.

There are probably millions of web sites selling T-Shirts; therefore you need to narrow your focus. This is why Spanish Shirts or Spanish T-Shirts would a better niche because it wouldn't be as competitive. If your niche is too competitive you will have a difficult time getting high rankings. Ideally you want your site to appear on the first page for one of the major search engines...Google, MSN or Yahoo.

2. Find related keywords

These are words that are similar to the main keyword list you created above. You may be able to incorporate them into the content of your site as it grows. Keywords that have a very narrow focus ie Spanish T-Shirts, may not be a popular search term. If I broaden my search to include "Spanish" or "T-Shirt" I will find hundreds of words that relate to these topics.

Use a theosaurus dictionary or thesaurus.com to find similar words besides your main keywords. Another great free tool to brainstorm related keywords is the Google AdWords Keyword Tool (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal).

Here is the list of similar keywords generated when I inserted "spanish shirts" in the Google AdWords Keyword Tool:

madrid shirts language tee shirts spain shirt spanish shirt shirts in spanish spanish shirts spanish t shirts real madrid shirt spanish english dictionary spanish apparel sign language shirt language shirts madrid t shirts shirt in spanish hispanic t shirt spain t shirt language apparel hispanic shirts sign language t shirt madrid t shirt real madrid t shirts language t shirts sign language shirts language shirt shirts spanish sign language t shirts spanish t shirt real madrid merchandise i love shirts hispanic t shirts long sleeve shirts spain t shirts t shirts in spanish madrid shirt

From this list you get both the singular and plural forms of the keywords. You may also want to include madrid shirts, madrid t-shirt, spanish shirts.

To find out how often people are searching on these keywords you need to use keyword tools. I use a combination of both free and paid tools.

Part 2 of this article will discuss how I used Wordtracker, one of the most effective keyword tools on the Net, to decide if I should use spanish shirts as the main keyword phrase for Wild Lily Designs (http://www.wildlilydesigns.com) the example site I am optimizing.

Key Ingredients To Succeed With Article Marketing

Let me ask you a very important question. Are you still struggling to see results from your article marketing efforts?

Let us contemplate the main things that you need to do to actualize success with your article marketing. So what I do when I first start I will only have a strong emphasis on focusing writing articles for Ezine Articles. The main reason for this is that this article directory has a very good page rank and allows me to piggy back on it to get good search engine rankings that will allow me to get traffic to my articles.

The search engines can easily determine if the article is relevant to the keywords by the words that are being used. So look for low competition keywords that get traffic using a keyword research tool. It usually takes your articles a few days to get indexed by Google and you will start seeing traffic. These articles also become viral in nature as other publishers pick them up and will allow you to build a lot of links consequently increasing your search engine rankings.

Track and test different bios to ensure that you are getting the best results for your efforts. Also ensure that your squeeze pages convert very well. You can test opposite headlines for squeeze pages to make sure of the best converting ones. After the lead has signed up you can redirect them to your one time offer or sales page.

Mastering these critical elements is very important to achieve the results that you want. This will help convert a lead into a paid buyer. Just make certain that you have a very good follow up system that will convert your subscribers into buyers. Test and track your different autoresponder messages.

Article Marketing - Article Marketing Tips for Newbies

Article marketing is one of the absolute basics of internet marketing. Having articles all over the internet is a marketing method which enables you to invest some time and effort right now and reap the benefits for years to come. This article will explore some of the advantages of article marketing and its subtleties in order to help internet marketers to use it to their best advantage.

Anyone who's been doing internet marketing for a while knows that writing articles is imperative to the success of one's online campaigns. Having articles in various article directories is a great way of providing links back to your site, thus building your site's popularity. When a page has many links back to it it helps to attain good positioning in the search engines. An article directory which has a high page rank is the best place to submit articles to as this helps to boost your page's rank.

Bear in mind that people take articles they enjoy and publish them in their ezines and on their websites, further providing you, the author, with more back links and publicity.

When you have articles of your own posted in article directories you can slowly establish your name as an expert in your niche. People will be more apt to trust your recommendations.

Although it may be tempting to write a bunch of articles in one day and submit them to a few directories, exercise caution with this. Why is that? Because Google is quite sensitive about a sudden surge in traffic to a link. Although we would all love a sudden surge in traffic, it may cause Google to de-index your site in order to look in to the reason for the sudden popularity of your site. It's better to submit articles every couple of days.

In the process of article marketing, don't submit an article that is already on your own website. It may be considered duplicate content and you don't want that! Google would consider the site which is higher ranking to be the originator of the article (the article directory) and your site's page rank may suffer.

Don't submit PLR articles without making changes!! There is so much PLR available today (free and otherwise) and it is very tempting to just grab it and use it. Don't do it. The purpose of these articles is to provide you with a basis for an article. Read it and rewrite it in your own words. Duplicate articles could be rejected by the article directories and the directories may just decide to ban your account.

Try to use good keywords in your article's title and also in the beginning of the first paragraph. Sprinkle your chosen keyword all over the article as well.

Most article directories allow you to use hyperlinks. For sophisticated and efficient article marketing try to use anchor text that relates to the keywords you are targeting. This will help you attain a better position in the SERP's (search engine result pages). If you are targeting the word "gardening tips" make sure to hyperlink to your website from each mention of the term in your article. This will help your gardening site be higher in the search results for the term "gardening tips".

Try to remember that people will be reading your article. Make it readable for them and don't just concentrate on the density of your keywords. If people don't enjoy reading the article, they won't bother reaching the end of it, which is where you will lead them to your site from the ever-important resource box!

In summary, article marketing is a very important, even critical, element of internet marketing. Every internet marketer should be making the effort to become proficient in article marketing and learning how to write decent quality articles in as little time as possible. It will bring in terrific long term results.

Happy writing!

Profitable Article Marketing - Latest 4 Big Steps to Increase Your Article Marketing

Every webmaster dreams about getting huge, steady traffic for their website. Why? Because online traffic is the backbone of anything that exists in the World Wide Web. Traffic spells out profit, online recognition, and strong online presence.

One of the best traffic-generating tools these days is article marketing. It is considered the best not only because it is efficient but it is also cost-effective and easy to utilize. It only requires you to write and submit articles to instantly obtain quality inbound links for your website.

Here are the 4 big steps to increase your article marketing:

1. Write more. Strive to create additional articles on a daily basis so you can quickly augment the number of your inbound links. Utilize all proven techniques that can help you multiply the number of your output. Some marketers are spending more time writing articles while others pick topics that are easy and quick to write.

2. Never sacrifice the quality of your articles. Your articles will not be read nor picked up by online users if they are not well-written and content-rich. Make the quality of your articles your number one priority as this is the only element being looked for by online users when they read and republish articles.

3. Increase your clickthrough rate by utilizing attention-grabbing titles. Your headlines are your front liners. If they cannot serve their purpose, your whole marketing strategy is doomed to fail. Make sure that your headlines are enticing, intriguing, has the ability to pique the curiosity of online users, and most importantly, they must be able to communicate the benefits that your whole article can offer.

4. Increase your conversation rate by writing a powerful resource box that can easily move online users to click on your website's URL.

List Building With Article Marketing - Long Articles Lose a Prospect, Short Articles Build Your List

Article marketing is the way I have built almost all of my highly responsive lists.

You've heard or seen me talk about this. You can take a 1,000-word article and break it down into two 500-word articles or 3 350-word articles and it's more lines in the water, it's more ways for people to find you.

Now think about this specifically for list building. If your article is too long and you lose the reader, they will never make it down to your resource box, where they can accept your offer of a slice of your expertise in exchange for their email address. Long articles tend to lose the reader before they ever get to your resource box. Short articles allow the reader to flow through your article right into your resource box so they can click through to your web site or blog.

So if your article is too long, they're never going to see your resource box in the first place.

What to do instead: Keep your articles short. Somewhere between 300-500 words is the very best. If you are just starting out it might be a challenge at first to provide great info in just 300-500 words. It's really a mix of skill, art, and experience.

It's more of a challenge to write shorter articles with good content than it is to write longer articles. In a longer article you can just do a brain and heart dump on the topic. In a shorter article you have to laser your focus on your topic to give the best information.

The best way to get there is to write lots of articles.

And now I would like to offer you free access to two of my Instant Article Writing Templates so you can write more articles in less time than you ever thought possible. You can download them by going to http://www.GreatArticleMarketingBlog.com

Opt In Email List Marketing - Rake In The Cash With List Building

Opt in email list marketing is one of the pillars of most internet marketing businesses. If you have been involved in internet marketing any time at all, you will have heard that well-known phrase "the money's in the list". It is so often quoted that it has become a cliche, but that does not make it any less true. Of course the principle of list building is nothing new. Businesses and even non-profit organizations have been keeping mailing lists of customers, prospects, or givers since the invention of the postal service. The difference this century with the rise of internet marketing is that our lists are for email marketing rather than mailing. This means it is very easy to send them information - you can email a list of thousands of people every day, if you want to, provided only that you abide by the spam laws. You have no printing or shipping costs. Your only question, in fact, is how to increase your earnings from your marketing list.

For most internet marketers, beginning to build an opt in list means setting up a 'squeeze page' where something (usually an ebook) is given away for free in return for the prospect's email address. This works well, especially if you can find something truly interesting to give away, but how do you bring people to your website to see your free offer? One well-known route is giveaway events, but these seem to be attracting fewer and fewer downloads as they proliferate - you could probably find between five and ten giveaways that are live right now, whenever you are reading this. Well-known internet marketer Michael Cheney built himself a list of over 20,000 people in a very different way and a recently released audio interview will tell you how. It is an interesting method and although many people use it to a small degree, I doubt that many marketers have built such a large list this way, or even thought that it was possible.

It is often said in internet marketing circles that you can expect to make $1 a month per name from your list. That would earn someone like Michael Cheney $20,000 a month - a good income by any standards. Some marketers claim to be making much more per subscriber. I have no idea where the 'average' $1 figure comes from but if you are making much less than that from your list, you are certainly not alone. To maximize the financial returns from your list you must know when to email them, what to send them, and how to get them to buy from you instead of from the other marketers who are sending them the same offers. So whether you are just a beginner in opt in email list marketing, or whether you already have a good-sized list that is not bringing in as much as you would like, you are probably leaving money on the table unless you give yourself a good basic training in building a profitable mailing list.

Brainstorming of Keywords

I think we hear this more often than not in the world of Search Engine Optimization or even Internet Marketing. But what are the steps taken to actually find relevant keywords that will help your business?

The basic idea of brainstorming is to figure out what might be a good search term for your related area. The reason I say might is because for obvious reasons, we do not have any data yet. Take in every keyword that possibly have similar themes, concepts, categories, etc. At this point we basically want to gather candidates so that you can narrow down your search later on.

The popular tools out there that aid the process are tools like KeywordDiscovery.com and Wordtracker.com. Below, I am going to outline a couple if differences between them.

Keywords discovery
- They have one of the largest databases of keywords which estimate around 18 million searches.
- Have seasonal data which is really advantages for people who are interested in promoting seasonal products e.g. Christmas gifts
- Keyword spiders: Throw a URL to them and it will spider possible keywords that people actually search for within that page.

Word Tracker
- They have a clean database plus a lot of comprehensive search drilled down to a lot of long tail keywords.
- Automated Pay per Click bid search to make the research easier.
- They have a known market share from Metacrawler and Dogpile which are source search engines.

So when we have gathered a substantial amount of keywords the most important thing to remember is relevancy. The choice of keywords revolves on how relevant it is to your business. As simple as it sounds, we still often get blinded but how relevant a keyword is in actual terms. Some search terms have multiple meanings. There are terms which people search for information and there are terms which people search who are ready to buy.

The logic is if keyword A has 1000 searches a month but its only 10% relevant to your site, in comparison with keyword B which has only 100 searches a month with a 90% relevancy, which do you think will convert more at the end of the day?

My next article will dwell deeper into weighted popularity formula which helps calculate relevancy on your keywords.

Article Marketing For Ezine Publishing

Article marketing can be used to develop backlinks by submitting the articles to a range of article directories online, or it can be used to develop direct traffic by submitting your articles to some of the highest traffic article directories online.

The full power of your articles is unleashed when people find them so interesting, or relevant, that they copy them to use as content in their own website, ezine or magazine. This the third, and most powerful use of article marketing. When they copy your article your name and resource box must remain with it. In this way one article can provide you with hundreds of back links. It is not unusual for a webpage, previously unlisted on Google, to reach Page One by the simple expedient of writing a few articles.

It is important if you can link back to a specific web page, rather than your home page, since a deep link to your site is more valuable than a link to your home page. You can get back links to your home page by submitting your site to website directories. These, however, do not allow individual page submissions, so deep links by means of article marketing should be used whenever possible.

This is the power of article marketing, and it can provide you with lots more natural traffic than paid adverts, and whats more, the traffic is targeted to the theme of your web page. Nothing is static in the world of search engines, and you should strike while the iron is hot. Article marketing is currently the hot way of achieving high index positions, but it may not always be so, so take advantage while you can.

Seven Tips For Writing Effective Online Articles

By writing online articles, any business owner can generate traffic, raise rankings in the search engines, and establish credibility online. But not everybody can write a good online article. Here are seven tips to writing articles that succeed online.

Know your audience. Who are you writing for, and what information would they like to know? Are you writing for a techie audience, or trying to educate the general public? Your audience's needs will determine the tone of your article.

Keep it simple. Use language that's easily accessible-even if you're writing for a technical audience. The easier and more enjoyable your article is to read, the more people will identify with you-and become interested in your business.

Use sub-headings. People like to scan when they read online. Help them by using bolded sub-headings so they can skip to the parts of your article they're especially interested in. Long blocks of text may turn online readers off, but sub-headings make your article scan-friendly.

Avoid self-promotion. Online readers can smell an ad a mile away. Avoid promotional language about yourself or your product. You're not trying to sell here-you're trying to inform. An educational tone builds trust, but a salesy tone can drive info-seeking readers away. Most article directories will allow you to link back to your site in a resource box at the end of the article, and some reject articles that contain promotional links or language in the body.

Offer something of value. Even in short articles, offer expert insight. The web is crammed full of articles containing worthless filler and overstuffed with keywords. Instead, give good advice based on your own experience and knowledge. If you do this, you'll stand out from the crowd.

Your headline matters. The headline can make the difference between an article that gets read and one that vanishes into obscurity. There are several ways to write effective article titles. One of the best ways to do it-one that works especially well for the online format-is the "how-to" headline. These headlines tell readers what they can expect to learn from the article. Most online how-tos are arranged as lists of tips, like this one is. If this is the case for your article, use the number of tips in the title. For example: "Seven Steps to a Better Website" instead of "How to Build a Better Website."

Be brief. Online readers prefer things short and sweet. Most successful online articles are 600 words or below.

Write strong articles that offer valuable tips and insight, and you're sure to bring new business to your website. Article marketing is an excellent way to get your name out there, build trust and recognition, and generate new revenue.

Article Marketing - A Money Making Strategy That Still Works

This is article marketing. This article that you are reading right now. I write a 350 to 500 word article, post it in free article directories and content-starved webmasters come along and add this article to their website.

It's pretty simple really. You need to have something useful to say, some place to send the reader when they like what you have written, and a relevant list of article directories that will post your articles.

Why do it? Using the resource box at the bottom of each article I am able to send you, the reader, to someplace that should be of interest to you. This creates a link back to my website or webpage. It's a great thing for increasing popularity. Also, I get in front of more people than ever.

It turns out that a 350 word article is about the length of an informative email. There are a few tricks to writing the articles. And it's best to study those "tricks" so you can make the most of your article writing.

We now live in a time where we can write for the reader and still satisfy the search engine spiders (pieces of software sent by the search engines) who seek to understand just what the article is about. By understanding how the search engines look at articles we can write effectively and get noticed.

Look at the above title. Notice I put "article marketing" right at the beginning of the title. I am actually telling the search engine spiders what this article is all about. And its easy for you, the reader, to know what its about. See what I mean? Simple.

Article Marketing Secrets - How to Get Your Information in Front of as Many Eyes as Possible

Would you like to get your information in front of as many eyes as possible in as many consumable forms as possible? Then article marketing is for you.

You need to think of how your article can be repurposed into a variety of consumable forms.

Your article as text

Write your article and then submit it to the article directories. First go deep on EzineArticles. Second go wide by submitting your articles to other popular article directories. Third submit your article to niche article directories. And finally submit your articles to your own article directories.

Your article as audio

Then you can repurpose your article content into audio. One way is to simply read and talk about your article, record it and create CDs. My favorite way though to repurpose my article content into audio content is with teleseminars. Conduct a teleseminar and record it and then you can turn that recording into audio CDs, podcasts, mp3, etc.

Then building out the other side you can have that recording transcribed and then repurpose the transcription into more text articles. In this way, as my colleague and friend Alex Mandossian says, you can "write with your mouth and not with your hands."

Your article as video

When you take your article content and repurpose it into video and then put that video on You Tube, you now have links coming back to your web site from the second highest ranked web site in the world. All you have to do is video yourself taking about your article, make and explain a few points, and there is your video.

And this is just a slice of how you can get your articles in front of as many eyes as possible in as many consumable forms as possible.

Five Easy Article Marketing Tips

Article marketing is a very diverse world that many people often gain great success in. This success however does come with great effort. There is not one thing in Internet Marketing that does not take effort. Everything you earn will be the result of how much effort you put into it.

Today the subject I will be writing about will be about Article Marketing. Article Marketing is one of the best marketing tactics that a person can have. Article Marketing can be a valuable asset that could make you lots of money in the long run. Here are five tips that can improve your efforts...

1. Select A Good Niche

The Niche that you write about can make a big difference in how you operate your Article Marketing enterprise. First, select a niche that you can really write about without sounding like an idiot that does not know what they are writing about. If somebody reads something that sounds like the writer knows nothing about the topic, what would that look like? It would look like the writer is a liar and we don't want that.

2. Proofread Everything

If a reader sees that you have poor handwriting, why would they even see your website? Something small like handwriting can make a tremendous effect for the better good or bad. Always spell check everything that you place on a article distribution website. A potential customer could look at an error in your spelling and turn away from what you are offering without thinking twice.

3. Research Your Topic

Make an attempt in giving your reader time-saving information that they could use. This includes actually researching the topic you are writing about. If a reader receives valuable information you will be repaid for it by being called an expert. This title will create many new leads that pay for your advice. So when you make the effort, you will get something in return. This return could be anything from new leads to affiliate income.

4. Choose Your Article Distribution Service Carefully

The distribution service will determine how your articles are viewed by readers. If you have your articles on a highly respectable website, it will do better because the author put the article on a higher quality website instead of another website. If the reader finds the article on a lower site, that would look like the author does not pay attention to where they submit their articles to. So that is why I suggest that you never use article submitters because your articles might show up on junk sites. Google might also look at where you place your article and make a judgment that your site is good or bad.

5. Choose The Right Keywords

The entire world of Article Marketing revolves around what kind of keywords you use for your article. If you use the wrong type of keywords, your article could up in a place that is unrelated to your niche. This could be a problem if Google is searching for websites that are relevant to your website link. If you have a article that is related to health care and it ends up on a website that is dedicated to travel, Google will see that and will make the conclusion that the article is on a unrelated website. So it pays off when you choose the right kinds of keywords.

How To Be An Online Marketing Genius

"Genius. It is just attention to something specific. That's all it is ... so anyone who gives attention to any subject for a period of time will evolve in the direction of that understanding." -- Abraham-Hicks

Most of us wish we were geniuses but almost none of us feel that we are. Society tells us that the Einsteins of the world come along maybe once in a generation.

But you are a genius - we all are. At what? At being you. And that may be enough to help you create online success. Why?

Ever look around on the web and find that most online businesses are, well . . . boring? Loud? Obnoxious? And definitely unappealing? Ten-page ads are NOT appealing. Empty promises of making thousands of dollars in a few weeks - appealing, but not very realistic. This mass of unappealing web content is the result of people trying to be the model of success - but these people have forgotten to be themselves.

At the other end of the spectrum, look at what's really a success online: social networking. MySpace, YouTube, Facebook. What's that all about? These sites are about people being themselves. They show themselves as they really are--grungy, attractive, silly, sad, and smart by turns. Other people are really attracted by that authenticity.

Some MySpace users have over 1.5 million friends. Count 'em. Yup, we said millions. What are they doing? Nothing but putting a spotlight on who they are. They are geniuses at being themselves, and that attracts.

You are also a genius at being you. So if you want to attract people online to your business, be the genius that you are. Don't hide your personality under a bush or cloak it in a lot of "expert" bull-pucky. Express yourself!

Whether you write articles, author a blog, put up a page on MySpace or post a YouTube video, the germ of success for you lies in your own genius.

The age of the guru is over. The age of "people like me" is here, now. People want to interact with people like them, people like you.

Whoever you are and whatever you're situation, write about it so people can connect with you. Connecting is as simple as letting people know not just who you are, but how you are. Describe your situation and BE HONEST. Are you a mom stuck at home dealing with dirty diapers and toilet training but longing for some time and money for yourself? Then say so. If you haven't washed your hair in three days because you don't have time to, but you really want enough time and money to hire a babysitter, dress up for a few evenings of adult conversation and wine ... then blurt it out!

If people can have 1.5 million "friends" online talking about their most recent fight with their boyfriend or a bad day at work, just think of what you can do with your home-based business by just being you? Blog, submit articles, write reviews, set up a business website, get a MySpace page ... whatever. Just don't lose your personality along the way.

"How many cares one loses when one decides not to be something but to be someone."

Article Marketing - The Single Most Effective Method To Increase Your Sales On The Internet!

Writing and submitting articles to directories can considerably increase your traffic and sales. It doesn't matter if you never wrote a single word before or if the last time you wrote a three hundred words article was more than ten years ago.

If you have a website about 'dog training', start writing right away. Just write like you talk. In fact, you can just write your articles as though you were talking in just simple, every day language that your reader will enjoy reading.

Don't be too concerned if you don't think you are good at writing articles, they don't need to be perfect. All you need to do is to give your reader useful information. If you can help them and give them the solution that to solve their problems faster, you will make a lot of money.

Your articles don't need to be extremely long but most article directories will have a minimum word of around 250 words.

With article marketing, you can promote your own product, affiliate products, your website or your blog. In fact, you can promote everything under the sun. Just be sure to add a bio box with a link to your web property.

Another advanced technique is to send your visitors to a squeeze page to capture their email address. Doing this will allow you to send them promotional offers for months to come.

Once you have written an article you then need to submit it to article directories. It is important to submit to at least a couple of the top directories such as EzineArticles, Article Dashboard and Article City. These directories have high page rankings so your articles will receive many visitors. Now when your articles have been approved and published then you should receive many visitors when people search Google for any of your keywords.
