Profitable Article Writing - 4 Profitable Steps to Explode Your Article Writing

If you are doing internet marketing, you cannot possibly not include article writing on your marketing strategies. Why? Because this is the most effective method in building your credibility online that can promote rapport and trust among your potential clients.

Here are the 4 profitable steps to explode your article writing:

1. Know your audience. Before you can offer sound solutions to your potential clients, you need to know first their pressing issues. That is why, it is very important to get to know the people to whom you are writing for before you even tap on your key board. Identify their needs and the information they require so you can make your content highly targeted to their demands.

2. Avoid redundancy. Steer clear from presenting the same information on your articles as this can be considered waste of time for your readers. It also communicates a strong message that you don't have enough information to share and you have to resort to repeating the same information just to meet your article's word count.

3. Write about topics that can attract quality traffic to your website. If you are selling mobile phones, writing about laptops and computers can give you traffic, but is it quality traffic? You will be able to attract online users who are most likely not to consider buying your products. So, write about topics that are highly relevant to what you sell to augment your sales potential.

4. Proofread, edit, and revise. As they say, there is no perfect writing, only perfect editing as it is virtually impossible for any writer to not commit a single mistake when he or she writes the first draft. Strive to provide your readers with flawless content by manually proofreading and revising your articles before you post them online.

Optimizing Your Html Code For Search Engines

Within the HTML code behind your page, there are things called meta tags. These are short notes within the header of the code which describe some aspects of your page to the search engines. Although there is some debate over how important meta tags are when it comes to SEO, its generally agreed that they shouldnt be ignored.

Whether youre building your website yourself, or youre getting a web designer to do it, its a good idea to understand the basics. There are four main meta tags you need to consider:

    <li>Title</li></p><p align="justify"><li>Keywords</li></p><p align="justify"><li>Description</li></p><p align="justify"><li>Alt</li>

Following is a bit of discussion of how these meta tags should look and a few tips for writing them.

Title - e.g.

<title>Cheap second hand computers Widget Computers</title>

The title is the most important of the meta tags. Try to use your keyword at least once in the title, preferably towards the beginning. Also, its not just important for your ranking; it also has the biggest impact on your Click Thru Rate (CTR). The text you put in the title will appear as the link text in your Google listing the bit that people will read first and click on. Think of it as an ad headline the better it is, the more people will click on it.

TIP: Google only displays 66 characters in the clickable part of your listing. So try to keep your Title text to a max of 66 characters.
Keywords - e.g. <meta name="KEYWORDS" CONTENT="cheap second hand computers" />

Search engines used to look only at this tag to identify a sites subject material. This isn't really the case any more, but some search engines still give it quite a bit of weight (such as Yahoo). There are various 'rules' about how many characters you should include in this tag. The most recent I've been working to is 300 characters (including spaces). I've never been too strict about enforcing it though.

IMPORTANT: The most important detail about the Keywords tags is that Yahoo pays quite a bit of attention to it. If you do it wrong, you'll be penalized. I learned this the hard way. You need to ensure that your Keywords tag is aligned with your web copy. By that, I mean that you shouldn't include keywords that don't appear in your copywriting. And I'm not talking about arbitrary stuffing or spamming here. I'm talking about legit keywords. For instance, I used to use my suburb, Bateau Bay, as a keyword for every page of my site. However, "Bateau Bay" hardly appeared at all in my web copy. There were quite a few other examples like this, too, like my state (NSW), and some of my neighboring suburbs. After ranking really highly in Google for about a year, I couldn't understand why I was ranking so poorly in Yahoo. Turns out, this was the reason. I made the change, and my ranking shot up about 60 positions!!! And I don't mean from position 1000 to position 940 (that wouldn't be noteworthy at all). I mean I shot up from about 80 to about 20 (then gradually moved onto the first page).
Description - e.g. <meta name="DESCRIPTION" CONTENT="Cheap second hand computers for sale keeping your business running efficiently without breaking the bank." />

The search engines pay some attention to this text when identifying your sites subject material, so make sure you include your keyword at least once in the Description. Also, most search engines use this text as their description of your site (i.e. its the site snapshot that follows your link in the search results). Make sure its informative and compelling. Think of it as the copy for an ad.

TIP: Google only displays about 160 characters including spaces. So keep your Description text to a max of 160 characters.
Alt - e.g. <img xsrc="filename.gif" alt="Cheap second hand computer in use" title="Cheap second hand computer in use">

The Alt tag is designed to help visually impaired people use the World Wide Web (WWW). They use software to read out loud the content of your website. When the software encounters a picture, it looks for the Alt text to learn what the picture is, then reads that text out loud. The Alt tag is relatively important to search engines because they assume that your pictures have something to do with the subject material of your site. But like the visual aid software, they cant actually see the picture, so they look at the Alt text as well. Try to include your keyword at least once in your Alt text.

Summary

You can use the same meta tags on each page, or you can make them unique. It all depends on how many keywords youre targeting. If youre targeting a different keyword in the copy of each page, your meta tags for each page will be unique (i.e. youll target that pages keyword within these meta tags).

TIP: If you have any high ranking competitors, take a look at the way theyve done their meta tags, and follow their lead. You already know they rank highly, so chances are theyve done a good job.

How To Plan A Proper And Successful SEO Strategy

There is a question that many webmasters ask themselves when they are doing or going to start SEO. What keywords shall I target?

You have two common options which are, either optimize your website for one keyword which gets lots of traffic. These usually have lots of competition. You can also optimize your website for several keywords that each get few traffic but they have little competition. The amount of time to get results for each method is more or less the same.

Long tail keywords, refer to keywords that consists of multiple words. Usually these have little competition but receive little traffic.

Now understand that you are not optimizing your website but just your homepage. When you are getting links to your homepage you are not optimizing the whole website for that keyword but only your homepage. In fact your other pages will not rank anywhere, just your homepage will get ranked.

What that means to you?

Obviously it is better to get your homepage ranked since probably it is the most important page of your website, if it is a salespage or an optin page and so on. However if you have an ecommerce website, you can optimize each of your website pages for a different keyword.

Now all the search engine optimization rules still play a role when optimizing each of your site pages or most of them for a unique keyword. In brief you put that keyword in meta tags, get backlinks using the keyword in anchor text, do internal linking using that keyword and so on.

But there are other options which all depends on the type of website you have, how much money you set aside to invest in your business and other things.

Here are some successful campaigns you can adopt for your website.

If you have a salespage type of website and you have no money to invest it is good idea to pick just one keyword only, that gets a fair amount of traffic. So you get it ranked fast and you start making at least some money fast. You can then invest the money in seo again, but this time you can seo your website for either several keywords at once or one keyword which has lots of competition.

That means if you have no money, you cannot compete or it is very difficult to compete with lots of competition. When you start making money you can invest in lots of different software and so on.

If you have an ecommerce website and no money to invest you need to know which of your products is likely to sell well. Then optimize that page only for one keyword that has a fair amount of traffic and little competition. So you start making money instantly and invest it again in SEO. So it is important to optimize that page where you sell something people are going to buy for sure, or the highest priced item if you really do not know what people are going to buy most.

Thinking this way helps you make the most money possible in the shortest time possible. If you do not think a bit long term or if you do not create a detailed plan it is likely you waste time.

So plan things like how much time will it take you to see results and how much money you can invest. What are your best options with the amount of time available you have and the amount you can invest. Plan also what you will do once your first goal is reached. In other words plan also long term.

Search Engine Optimization - Your Stategy To Create More Traffic

How do you choose the right keywords to create traffic? You can use words or brands that we would closely associate with the content which you are providing. However, make sure that you are not spamming in the title as Ebay will remove such listing which they deem as irrelevant as it interferes with their buyer's search. More importantly, place yourself in others shoes and think of the words that are most likely to be used by the person performing the search.

For example, if a person wants to search for a low priced air ticket, the keyword will be "cheap" as oppose to "affordable". Thus for practice or a brainstorming session, make a list of the keywords or phrases you think that customer would enter into a search engine or directory when searching for your company or site. You can also ask your friends and which words they would use to search for similar sites as yours.

One of my recommended website is www.wordtracker.com. This website will help you brainstorm different key phrases. You should also take note that people tend to use phrases as oppose to words when they are performing search online. Thus, target Phrases and not words. The optimal length is between two and four words.

After ascertaining the key words which you would like to use for your site, put it to the test. You can now try to see how many web sites match your keywords or phrases before and after you launch your web site. Obviously the few matches found the easier it will be to obtain high rankings. Hopefully, with that, your site can hit the first page of a search.

Other little pointers to take note include case sensitivity as well as bad spelling. This may work for or against you when people perform the search. Hopefully, by implementing these suggested search engine optimization (SEO) strategies, you will boost your traffic with higher rankings.

6 Ways to Get Your Visitors To Contact You From Your Contact Us Page

Along with the About Us page, your Contact Us page is one of the most important and crucial pages on your site to get right. In fact, the Contact Us page could be considered the absolutely most important page. Even if the rest of your site succeeds in the goals, if visitors fail to find the information they need to contact you then you will bring their shopping experience to a screeching halt.

Shoppers are often hampered if they don't feel they can get a hold of a real person or are limited in their contact options. With all other areas of the site working, a bad contact us page may cause someone to think twice about purchasing with you altogether.

Accessibility

Visitors must be able to find a link to your Contact Us page easily and obviously from all pages of your site. They should not have to hunt to find your contact information.

Contact options

Provide multiple options for contacting you including phone, fax, email and web form. Live support can also be valuable. While you may want to direct the options toward what is most convenient for you, not providing a contact option most convenient for your visitors can be a mistake.

Contact points

Larger sites should provide contact information for all major departments such as customer service, tech support, inquiries, general info, memberships, job apps, billing, etc. You might even want to include contact options for specific individuals such as CEO, SFO, etc.

Map and hours

If you deal more with local business rather than national, your hours of operation should be included along with a map pinpointing your location. This certainly won't hurt national businesses either.

No advertisements

Your contact page should be free of ads, both for your own as well as other products/services. This page should maintain as limited focus as possible.

Web form

Your web contact form should require as little information as is necessary. Don't use this as a survey. Just the bare necessities should be requested.

Your Contact Us page should not be complicated. In fact, simple is better. Provide the information that your visitors need and provide as many contact options as you can to cover your bases. This will ensure an effective contact us page that provides assurances to your visitors as they move through the conversion process.

Using Keyword Research Tools and Services

You can be the best web designer in the world and have fancy pictures and objects pasted all over your website, but if it is not optimized for keywords that will bring you targeted traffic, you are probably wasting your time, this goes for organic search results as well as pay per click such as Google AdWords.

So how do you find out what keywords you need to focus on? Well first off, you need to do some research that will take a little time. Do a search for software on Google called "Good Keywords". It is a free software tool that has many benefits allowing you to collect information based on keyword searches. For more advanced options and to get thousands of results, I would recommend using software like Keywords Analyzer or Keyword Elite. Both of these research software tools offer many advanced and detailed features that will allow you to find long tail words with little competition but gets many searches.

There are also many online keyword research services you can use, some are free also. These include Google, Overture, Digital Point and many others. Of course, you can always upgrade to the paid version with many online services and have access to many additional features.

To get ranked well on Google, you must have other websites linking to yours, the more you have, the higher you will rank. This shows Google that your website is of importance. The most important factor is the website that is linking to yours must include a keyword that you are wanting to get ranked for in the link text, this is called the anchor text. For instance, if you are wanting to get ranked for the word "dog training", then the website that links to your site needs to include this text within the link itself.

Keyword research software such as Keywords Analyzer will show you how many competitors you have for thousands of keywords. The key is to find words that gets many searches with very little competition. This way, you can get ranked fast within the search engines.

Building Lists - You Can Sell Your Product and Build Your List at the Same Time

If you're an Internet marketing person who is selling an affiliate product, you get an affiliate link that leads to the product's web site or sales page. Lots of people also make the common mistake of thinking that they aren't able to be list building when are set up as an affiliate marketer. Not the case at all.

As long as it's not against the owner's terms of service or affiliate agreement, you can use any means of selling a particular product. Spamming, for instance, irritates everyone so it would be against both of those conditions, in all cases. Any other legitimate way to sell a product is fair game. Be the creative person you know you are, and success with list building and sales will come easily for you. And it seems to make the product owner happy, too.

List building while selling the other person's product is simple. First, set up a squeeze page, then on that page, give people a review of the product. If you sell it, you had better be using it, know that it's a great product, and endorse it honestly. As the promoter or affiliate for whatever products you choose to represent, give them more than a testimony, give them a great review. You can do that in 250 words or less.

Include information in your review about the features that are beneficial to the user. As mentioned earlier, be honest, your review should also give the cons of the product. Nothing is 100% great and people will usually find small things that they would change to tailor any given product to suit them. If your review is too glowing, it won't seem real. Here's what I mean:

Tellman Knudson's MyFirstList is a great product for the beginning marketer. Not only does it tell you how to get your list building page built, but it points you to the services you need to get it up and running. Not only that, but you can complete the course in just 9 hours. That means you can buy it one day, and take action on it the next. In fact, the program is so rapid-fire that you can be list building by that second day, too.

A couple of drawbacks that some might see is that you will need to spend money to get the system working, but you know what they say, "You have to spend money to make money." And when you invest in 'free', you will probably get 'nothing' in return." When you apply the system, yourself, and your investment, you will make money. Push your investment aside, lose your drive, whatever, and no, you will make nothing, and that is the raw truth. Another drawback is that getting set up is quite technical, but you are instructed step-by-step over the technical humps. I am totally technically challenged and the instructions were made clear, even for me!

I do know, and can honestly say, this system truly does work! I haven't just tried it, I'm using it, and I am thankful for the day I was introduced to MyFirstList. I am making money with it already, though I just bought it last week. How wonderful is that? For more information about MyFirstList, just fill in your first name and email address and I'll get it to you right away.

A straight affiliate page is a much better example because an affiliate link for MyFirstList is located there and would lead to another squeeze page. However, people might not be too kosher about opting-in to your list twice before they even see what your product is about, unless your review totally blows them away.

After people opt-in to your list and confirm their membership, the first autoresponder message they receive should be your "thank you" page. Give people a bit more information about the product and the opportunity to buy or join by including your affiliate link. This is very easy to do and you should always be list building, any way you can, as it is the single most important thing you can be doing to begin making money rapidly and seeing your way to real success!

Discover New Internet Marketing Strategies For Greater Profits!

Are you ready to discover new Internet marketing strategies for greater profits?

If your business is not on the World Wide Web, you are missing out on opportunities for people to find your business. Did you start your business without a business plan? Of course not! So why would marketing your business be any different?

How do you know if your Internet marketing strategy isn't working?

Simple. Take an inventory of your current business practices. Are sales numbers falling short? When was the last time you sent an email out to customers reminding them of a new service or product? When was the last update to your web site made? If so, you need a new Internet marketing strategy-pronto!

Marketing is different from advertising.

Marketing is the effort to increase brand awareness among consumers with a strong focus on customer's current needs or wants, as well as future ones. Marketing includes a variety of different aspects, including research, direct marketing, events and strategic planning.

Advertising, on the other hand, informs consumers on what the product is, promotes purchase of the product, and how or where to obtain the product. These outlets often include: print, radio, billboards, TV, and of course, the Internet. Both cost money and both are critical for success.

Understanding the differences between the two, as well as how they complement each other, is critical in the success of your Internet marketing strategy.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Search Engine Optimization is the process of creating and directing targeted traffic to web sites from search engines based on targeted keywords.

Pay Per Click

Pay Per Click is a tool used on search engines. Using keywords that relate to your business, you can advertise on the page when people are searching for a key word that you choose to associate with your business. Pay Per Click is often referred to as a "Sponsor Link" or a "Sponsor Ad." Google AdWords, Yahoo! and Microsoft are the biggest providers on the Internet today.

Newsworthy Information

Create a link to a news section on your web site can provide credibility to your business. Press releases and any external links to where your business is mentioned or featured can often make or break a deal for some customers who are deliberating between different options. Make sure your brand is supported on your own web site.

Tracking who is looking

Do you know who is viewing your web site? Companies, such as WebTrends (webtrends.com), can assist your business with statistics on your web site. These reports can break down the number of visitors per day, the last page they were on before closing a browser, and can provide enhanced insight into the workings of your web site.

If you email them, they will come

Do you have a new product or service? Are you offering a special deal on a current one? Try sending an email blast to your current customer base. Offer a discount on your services if they refer you to a friend via email.

Collecting email addresses from your customers is a valuable tool to have. Keeping a connection to your customers every 30-90 days is crucial for maintaining good relationships and drive your sales pipeline.

Blogs

Blogs, also referred to as Web Logs, can bring visitors to your web site and attract potential customers. Blogs can feature a variety of content. It can be an online diary, a place to provide insight into your products, tips and tricks, and more. It is also a great way for immediate interaction between your customers and you.

Web Site Structure

While ensuring that SEO for your business is effective, you also need to make certain that your web site is functioning, easy to use and informative. This will not only create a user-friendly experience for those who visit your web site, it can also entice those to come back again when seeking additional information.

Keep it fresh

Content, that is! If your web site is outdated, people will leave just as fast as they arrived at your site. Outdated information suggests that your business is behind the times and will not instill confidence in those seeking your products or services.

An outdated web site can kill any marketing efforts you have put forth. The last thing you want is time and effort wasted on increasing traffic to your web site, only to leave visitors wondering why when they get there.

The bottom line is that an Internet marketing strategy can help successfully position you to your target market/customer base as well as increase leads and convert them to final sales. Today, if no one can find you on the Internet, at least via Google, you don't exist. And that's bad for business.

Improve Search Results With Article Marketing

The key to improving search engine results is to develop quality links to your website. There are a variety of techniques you can use to get others linking to you. One of the most popular and effective methods is through article marketing.

The concept of article marketing is to take authored content that you create and distribute it to websites in need of content. When you distribute your article, you include links back to your website (usually in the About the Author section). These links help to improve your websites link popularity and therefore search engine results.

Article marketing is most effective when you can create articles that are of value to a wide audience or targeted niche market. Keep these guidelines in mind when article marketing:

1. Use original article content. There are a variety of ways to write articles. I find the best way to generate articles that improve search engine results is to make sure its an original. There are many websites that offer PLR articles (private label rights), article wizards, and so on. Regardless of how you produce your article, make sure it is one-of-a-kind.

2. Make your articles available on your own website. As a starting point, each time you create original content, post it on you website. Google looks for and diminishes the search results of duplicate content. Therefore, its important that you stake a claim for your content by promoting it on your website before any distribution effort.

3. Embed your keywords and keyword phrases. When writing your articles, be sure to include your keywords and keyword phrases throughout your document. Using the proper keywords is essential for website indexing and search engine optimization.

4. Write articles with a minimum of 600 words. A number of websites that accept and distribute articles will only do so if you meet article requirements such as minimum length. Many of these websites process a large number of articles and attempt to reduce spam with a minimum word count requirement of 600 words or more.

5. Use article distribution sites. By submitting your article to the largest article distribution sites you improve the likelihood of your article being repurposed by third party websites. Sites like eZineArticles and GoArticles are popular resources for webmasters seeking quality content. If webmasters find the information in your article valuable, theyll repurpose it on their own website. This viral effect can provide significant traffic to your article(s).

6. Include an About the Author section. At the conclusion of your article, be sure to include an About the Author section. This is one of the most important things you can do to build back links to your site. When other websites publish your content they are required to include this section. Make sure that multiple links to your site are present in order to build link popularity and improve your search engine result placements.

7. Be persistent. The benefits of article marketing are seen over time. As a rule of thumb, you should begin any article marketing campaign with a commitment to produce and disseminate a minimum of 10 articles. This gives you a good footprint in your area of expertise and builds a number of backlinks to your website.

Whether youre new to article marketing or are an experienced article marketer, each article you produce and distribute provides value to your website when executed correctly. Write valuable content, include an about the author section, and use article distribution websites. Youll quickly discover that article marketing is a great way to promote a product, website or service!

Do some keyword research and see just how much competition is out there. From there decide on a website and begin writing your article. Many people will create blogs to post their articles to. Once you have a blog created and an article posted you can place links in your article to your blog and send it to ezines and article directories.

Write articles around your niche. Choose a keyword phrases to write your article around. Do not over stuff your article with the keywords for which you are aiming for. Your keywords should reflect a targeted search for words that you have already researched. Make it interesting provide good information that will keep them reading and make other sites want to use your article.

Submit your articles to as many ezines and article directories as you can. Post the article to your blog and start getting your traffic. Many websites are looking for content and may use your article. If they use your article they are required to keep your links imbedded in the article. Now you will have links back to your site along with some possible traffic if the site is a good one.

Why Internet Marketing?

If you ever thought of setup a business the best type of business you should be doing would be Internet business. Just imagine yourself opening a simple store to sell toys. To rent a shop it cost at least 3 to 5 thousand per month just for the space alone. In some cases it can even go up to 10k in popular areas.

And if you thought that was expensive in many areas you have to make a down payment of 3 months in advance just to rent the store. Lets say you have the money to rent the space. You still have renovation to do for your store which can cost at least 2 to 5k depending on what are your needs After you have done all that you still need to fill up your store with stuff to sell which you need to purchase again.

Before you even earn your first dollar you would most likely have already spend 10k or more just to set it up. Depending what trade you are in, you may even suffer a lost from not selling enough to make ends meet for the month. To make things worst the margin of every product sold for toys can be as low 20% for some items.

However for an Internet Business you do not suffer the following
No monthly rental
No tax
Do not require to keep stock
No delivery problems
Instant delivery and 100% profits for digital products
Only require $200 per year to setup

As you can see the favors are towards internet business and I can foresee it will overtake traditional business in time to come. But like any great business you need people to guide you in your business. One great resource that would be on my blog. Do get it as it shares tons of valuable information to help start a profitable blog in no time.

Article Marketing Secrets and SEO Techniques

You won't find many article marketing secrets being given away online, because very few people properly understand the power of this internet marketing tool. It is more than simply a way of getting links back to your website, but a very powerful tool that if used properly can increase your sales to another level.

If you are provided with 'secrets' then they are well known by almost everybody. I will admit that even the 'secrets' I am about to divulge are not secrets at all, but well known article marketing techniques. However, what I will also say is that the three provided here are neither appreciated nor used by all of those that profess to be marketing 'gurus'.

I know that because I have purchased many of their books and they don't suggest what I suggest: I know my systems work and can prove it through my website listings. However I must stop because I am becoming dangerously close to advertising, but I have done so as to indicate about the maximum you can do on article directories to advertise yourself: and that is your free tip. Do not advertise in your articles if they are intended for submission. Leave that for your 'author's resource box'.

The most common purpose for people writing articles and offering them to directories for publication is to get those all-important back links from the directories. However, just stand back a bit and think why the directories are in existence. It is not for your benefit. It is not to provide you with a free means of improving your Google PageRank, but they exist to make money. And why not? Otherwise there would be no point in anybody offering an article directory to all of these online writers.

You don't pay to have your articles published on the directories, so what is their purpose? How do these people make money? Two ways in fact: the first is by means of AdSense. If you do a search for an article on a specific topic, you will certainly find one because articles have been written on every topic on the planet. On the same page you will find AdSense ads. The reason for this is obvious and also psychological.

It is because most articles are not worth reading, and visitors generally have a quick look at them before leaving the directory site to seek proper information on their topic or niche. That is when they are liable to click on the AdSense ads and make money for the directory owner. That is added to the second way they make money which is from payment for speeding up the listing of the articles. You've seen the thing: get listed in several weeks or pay a few dollars for an instant listing. Like most other serious marketers, I pay.

Whichever means they use, article directories realize that it is to their advantage to get high search engine listings for as many articles as possible. They then have their sites visited by as many people as possible, and also have writers use them. That provides them with more visitors to click the AdSense ads and also as an inducement to other budding authors who might pay for listings. I don't pay for a listing in a site that never displays my articles on Google.

Here are three secrets or tips, that you can use in your own article marketing campaigns:

Secret #1 is that if you write the article on a topic related to the content of a page on your website, then the directory (and by that I mean the owner, but let's call it 'the directory' for simplicity) will do all the SEO work and get your article listed so as to get as many visitors as possible. That earns them money. What that means to you is that you get free SEO done on your article.

Why do you think that your articles have to be of a minimum length and of a certain standard? To be listed by search engines, especially Google, that's why. You can use this information to your advantage, but your articles must be at least 500 words. Your resource URL must be one related to the article, and if you make it your blog, that is even better. Place links on your blog to all your other relevant online ventures.

Secret #2 is not really a secret as a submission technique. When you have finished writing your article save it and submit it as a text file. Most people write using Microsoft word, or some other word processing software that uses their own formating code embedded in the article. You don't see it, but the search engines do and it could harm the listing of the directory web page containing your article.

Secret #3 is that many sites offer two or three links in the author's resource. That allows you not only to present links to two or three pages on your website, but also that these links need not all be from the same site. You could provide a link to a page relating to the article (as you always should), one to one of your other websites or Squidoo lens, and a third to your blog URL. Never ignore these possibilities. Open up your mind.

There are several more article marketing secrets that I could give you but that would render this article far too long. You might also require some elementary HTML instruction to provide you with a working knowledge: HTML, or hyptertext mark-up language, is not really a computer language but a means of linking text to files, and it can also be used to format text, graphics and tables on websites and any other medium that can read HTML and transfer it to the intended visual formating.

However, the above secrets are sufficient allow you to use them as SEO techniques that will improve your chances of a high search engine listing. Learn them and use them, and even if you think that they seem fairly elementary I bet my bottom dollar that nobody is using all of them in their article marketing campaigns, because most people are still thinking in mono as far as article marketing is concerned and have to reach the analogue stereo age let alone digital.

Get modern and look farther than you can see, or the internet kids will soon gobble you up for breakfast! Yesterday's techniques are today's tomorrow.

If you are interested in more of Pete's article marketing secrets, and some of the best are to come, then visit his Squidoo lens at SEOcious or perhaps his blog at My SEO Blog where you will find more about his personal SEO philosophy. Pete suggests them in the above order for some reason. Me? I don't care! I just want more ice cream.

Article Traffic Secrets

Article traffic generates the highest quality lead of all the traffic generation methods I have tried. This includes ppc, ezine advertising, banner advertising and traffic exchanges. The reason for this is that you have already established credibility and trust before the visitor has clicked through to your web site. Now you can think of this in the following if you were to see an advertisement in a newspaper or you were to see an article in a newspaper which source would you trust more. When someone tells you to buy something you are less likely to follow. Now if someone catches your attention with an interesting article you are more receptive to what they are selling on an unconscious level.

I have found the best way to promote my articles is to do keyword research on a keyword that receives traffic without too much competition and write an article related to that topic. I use the keywords in my title and a few times in the article and submit my article to an article directory like Ezine articles. Now when somebody searches on that specific keyword using search engines then they will find my article and if it is good enough they will click on my bio through to my squeeze page.

To monetize your article traffic you need to have a squeeze page where you offer a free report and capture their name and email address. This will allow you to follow up with multiple autoresponder messages related to that niche with offers that will monetize your list.

If you are on a limited budget article traffic is one of the best ways to promote your internet business. All you need to do is to write articles on a consistent basis which is much easier than optimizing your web site for search engines, ffa pages, ppc and ezine advertising which may not yield the results you have been looking for.

Powerful Article Marketing - Discover 5 Rewarding Ways to Advance with Article Marketing

Are you looking for ways on how you can energize your article marketing to make your name and your articles stand out from the rest?

Here are the 5 rewarding ways to advance with article marketing:

1. Never include hyperlinks in your article body. Most publishers reject articles that promote websites or other articles by inserting hyperlinks on their content. To increase the chances of your articles being posted online, make sure that you keep your hyperlinks on your resource box alone.

2. Proofread your articles. Publishers have so many things to do aside from reviewing articles that they will post on their websites. Save them the time from editing your work for grammar and spelling errors by manually proofreading your articles before you submit them online.

3. Do not advertise on your articles. This is the most common reason why articles are rejected online. Keep in mind that your articles must be designed to inform or empower your readers. Avoid incorporating your sales pitch if you don't want to annoy your readers and lose their business in an instant.

4. Use effective titles. The competition in getting people's attention online cannot get any stiffer. Thus, you have to effectively design your articles to make sure that they get the attention they deserve. Make use of intriguing, attention-grabbing, and interesting titles to get more people to read your articles.

5. Make your first paragraph "meaty". Truth be told, the first 100 words of your articles are crucial in sustaining your readers' interest. If they find your first 100 words lousy, you can be assured that your article will not be read in its entirety. Strive to make your first paragraph interesting by spilling all the important information on this part.

Article Marketing Mistake #1 - Not Understanding List Building With Your Articles

One of the things you have to know and have to do on the internet is have a list. Your list is people that have subscribed to your newsletter or perhaps a slice of your expertise that you give away in exchange for their email address.

Im biased because my niche, my expertise is article marketing. Other people will say this and back this up. Article marketing is the best free way to build your list. You can do pay per click, which means people opt in and each time they click on a link with Google you pay for it. You can build your list that way.

Most of my lists are built through article marketing because instead of somebody clicking a link or you having to buy lists or somebody co-registering somewhere else, when people join your list after reading one of your articles, youre getting a highly qualified and highly responsive list member because theyve already raised their hand and said, Hey, Im interested in this topic.

Theyve read your article, theyve begun to know, like, and trust you, and if they joined your list theyre saying they want to know more. Theyre telling you, I want to know more.

I would rather have a small list thats highly responsive built through article marketing than a larger list thats not responsive. Now ultimately you want to have a large list thats very responsive.

List building is one of the pillars of working on the internet and being successful in internet marketing. Offline we call it our database or our client list, etc etc. Online we call it our list.
